Our Division of Pediatric ECMO is complied of a team of highly trained highly trained medical consultants who are designated pediatric perfusionists and ECMO Specialists with various professional background ranging from Respiratory Therapy to Nursing. We promote our ECMO specialists to complete ELSO based training; but, also maintain certification through AmSECT. Our experience in ECMO ranges neonatal respiratory, neonatal cardiac, to pediatric and adult congenital patients with familiarity in centrifugal pumps to roller heads and various electronic medical record platforms. As mentioned above, we base our foundational criteria on ELSO Standards and Guidelines and data from the ELSO Registry. Our Professional Services Providers have access to a diverse set of resources not just pertaining the latest cutting edge technologies, but also resources and networking capabilities to dissect and unravel the detailed application of practices from the country’s leading hospitals. With our unique and delicately crafted system we thoroughly evaluate each pediatric ECMO program to assess which best practices are most applicable for each specific program’s needs. We respect and understand that this is never a one-size fits all solution. Our mission is to maximize the use of each institution’s current equipment and departmental resources, discover ways to reduce spending, and enhance patient safety from a 360 degree clinical approach because safe clinical changes require several layers of understanding with multidisciplinary team engagement.
